How to Make a Post Sticky in WordPress (6.6+)

In earlier versions of WordPress, there was an option in the right-hand panel to make a post sticky while creating or editing it. However, starting from version 6.6, it seems that WordPress has removed this option. Now, if you want to make a post sticky, you need to first create the post and then use the ‘Quick Edit’ feature to enable the sticky option.

Here are the steps to make a post sticky in WordPress:

  • Log in to your WordPress dashboard and visit your WordPress admin page.
  • Go to ‘Posts’ > ‘All Posts’ to view your list of published and draft posts.
  • Locate the post you want to make sticky and click on the ‘Quick Edit’ link beneath the post title.
  • In the ‘Quick Edit’ settings, you will find a checkbox labeled “Make this post sticky” (as shown in the figure below). Select this checkbox.
