[4-23-2022] Microsoft Rewards Bing Homepage Quiz Question: The deaths of writers Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare were recorded on the same date: April 23, 1616—but that wasn’t the same day. How is that possible?

The given options are:

  • Records from the period are unreliable
  • They were separated by the international date line
  • They used different calendars

Correct Answer: They used different calendars

Info: While Cervantes and Shakespeare are both said to have died on April 23, 1616, the Spanish writer actually died 10 days before the English one. That’s because Spain had already adopted the new Gregorian calendar while England still used the Julian calendar. Britain adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1752.

  1. Shakespeare was not important, Cervantes was not important, They both were stooges, figureheads, straw men.. Shakespeare was asked to act as if he had written the plays.. and earned enough. Cervantes sold his name and told his life story to an employee of FB. And this is the man it was all about. he made up the DQ history, he made up the plays that Shakespeare performed. These two worlds complemented each other. Why? Well, that’s another story..“There are more things in heaven and earth, reader, than are dreamt of in your philosophy”..
